Abstract

We report a 14 year-old-school girl presented with sudden eruption of skin lesions at the forearm three days after a scratch by her domestic cat. The lesion was erythematous, circular in shape, measured 5 cm in diameter, The margin appeared tiny vesicular and weeping, but no pus discharge. Few axillary lymph nodes were palpable. Due to the location of the clinic was  in a remote region and diagnostic laboratory test is not available, a clinical diagnosis of  cat scratch disease was established based on clinical history and appearance of the lesion. Empirical treatment with oral azithromycin was initiated. Within seven days the lesions totally subsided.
